Photography and Videography Gear

In this blog post, I'll provide a list of photography and videography gear that I use for commercial photography and videography. In order to achieve better results, first of all, you need to learn how to properly use your equipment. Camera gear is important, but I love the quote: "The best camera is the camera that you have in your bag". My equipment is always changing, because of different tasks and goals, so this post will be updated when changes occur.

1. Main Camera. Sony a7iii.

Sony a7iii is my go-to camera for photos and video. It has great autofocus and has the ability to work in low-light situations. For video, it shoots in 4k at 30 fps, and in 1080p up to 120 fps.

2. Back-up Camera. Sony a6400.

My backup camera is a Sony a6400. It is a lightweight camera with a great flipping screen. It has great autofocus as well, but it has shorter battery life and cropped sensor. But it can be used as a good starting point because of the quality for the price.

3. Gimbal Stabilizer. Zhiyun Crane Plus

Who loves shaky footage? For stabilized smooth video footage I always use gimbal stabilizers. Now I mostly use Zhiyun Crane Plus.

4. Table Dolly Slider, L-Bracket, Joby GorillaPod.

This set of accessories is really useful for product videos. I love using the table dolly slider for smooth footage. The L-bracket is a go-to option for vertical videos and Joby GorillaPod is a very versatile tripod that can be used at flexible angles.

5. Microphone. Deity D4 Duo.

I use Deity D4 Duo when I need to record audio. It is lightweight, produces nice quality, and has the ability to record from both directions.

6. LED Lights.

I'm using this set of 2 led lights. One of them has an option to have different color temperatures and the second one has an option to have RGB lights.

7. On-camera Flash. Godox V1.

For photography, I always use my Godox V1 flash for low-light situations. It has great power and battery life. Also, it is easy to combine it with Godox Accessories.

8. ND Filters.

For better cinematic videos I use nd filters to keep my frame rates low in order to achieve natural motion blur.

9. SD Cards, Portable Drive.

For photography, I use slower speed cards, but for videos, I prefer to have faster memory cards. Also, I love to always back up every file, so I use a lot of memory cards to protect the footage from corrupting.

10. Spare Batteries.

And of course, I use a lot of spare batteries. There are always 2-3 spare fully-charged batteries in my camera bag.
